Developing your Mediumship is individual to us all as are our own characteristics and personalities.
This applies in the same way to our own Mediumistic abilities. Though we should all strive to being the best Medium we can, we must resist the temptation to being a “clone” of a Medium that we admire or has inspired us the most. Frequent practice will develop your own Mediumship technique, characteristics and qualities so always remain confident that your development will come naturally.
In this way, we utilise our own methods and techniques that resonate and work for us knowing that they work through constant practice and acceptance of evidence given. This cultivates our own personal expression of Mediumship and this is where you develop into being a Medium in your own individual way.
The journey of developing your Mediumship should be a happy one in all respects. If you do not have the desire or will to succeed and work hard over a long period of time, then you will surely fall by the wayside. The good news is that whatever you have learned will be with you should you so desire to continue developing your Mediumship at some later stage.
Being a Medium can be as simple as being able to obtain a link to Spirit and is attainable for the majority of people if they are serious in their endeavours. The trainee should be aware from the outset that being a competent Medium does not happen over night and may take several years before any significant development is obtained. Like all things being built, a strong base is essential so a slow a steady learning period should be expected, but the rewards will certainly justify your patience.
BASIC BUT IMPORTANT THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR DEVELOPING YOUR MEDIUMSHIP
BUILD UP YOUR AWARENESS TO SPIRIT
Developing Mediums find it beneficial (and even experienced one’s for that matter) to build up their awareness by listening to a Guided Meditation. This type of Meditation helps control the mind from wandering off and provides a focus for working with Spirit. In this respect it is vital that we make ourselves aware of what Spirit are trying to communicate to us so awareness is paramount in good Mediumship.
There are literally hundreds of Guided Meditations available for you to choose from and use yourself.
Having listened to so many myself, I took inspiration and wrote one myself giving it a title “Rose Cottage”
Try it for yourself and see what you think, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it.
SITTING IN THE POWER
Just like a car needs a fully charged battery to power up and maintain it’s optimum performance, Mediumship is exactly the same – no power, no performance. So in this way, we need to ensure we have the power within ourselves to enable us to work with our Mediumship otherwise our link to Spirit will suffer dramatically. When our battery is only half charged, our connection to Spirit suffers as a result and Developing your Mediumship becomes slow at the very least.
Our Mediumship dictates that we maintain a fully charged battery whenever we work with Spirit, in fact it’s a necessity that a lot of people do not pay any attention to.
So how do we charge our battery?
This is quite simply achieved by “Sitting in The Power” of Spirit, allowing their pure and stronger energies to blend with ours. To go back to the same analogy of the Car battery, it is like boosting a flat battery on a car charger until there is sufficient power to allow your car to perform it’s function.
Charging your battery does not have to be a lengthy or time consuming process that will take up much of your day.
I would highly recommend Tony Stockwell’s “Sitting in The Power” Meditation which is a mere 11 minutes in length and as such is suitable for even those with the busiest of lifestyles. By listening to this Meditation once a day, you will soon notice a stronger connection to Spirit, an improvement in your awareness and also your Mediumship.
